Galleria Enrico Astuni is pleased to announce its participation at May of Art in Bologna. Walking through the galleries, sponsored by the association Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art Confcommercio Ascom Bologna. For this event the exhibition Guarda dove vai / Look where to go, will run in the gallery exhibition space from the 8th of May to the 8th of June 2014.
Guarda dove vai / Look where to go presents fourteen international artists among which the bolognese Stefano W. Pasquini (Bologna, 1969). Pasquini through various artistic strategies (video, photography, installation, drawing and sculpture) is instantly recognizable for his irreverent work representing and revealing the nature of small and big tragedies of contemporary.
The exhibition shows the dark and alienated painting by Janis Avotins (Riga, 1981); the ephemeral atmospheres laid on canvas by Franz Baumgardner (Kleve, Germany, 1962); The visual polyphony of the paintings and sculptures by Luigi Carboni (Pesaro, 1957); the geometrization of human space in the works of Milena Dragicevic (Yugoslavia, 1965); the mirages in the photographic works by Thomas Florshuez; new and different interpretations of the fixed and consolidated models by of Aldo Giannotti (Genoa, 1977); the ambiguous and unusual shapes of the humanity that emerge from the painting of Izumi Kato (Shimane, Japan, 1969); the dreamlike staged by Cristiano Mangione (Bari, 1972); The dialogues between architectural spaces and natural areas in the monochrome by Paolo Parisi (Catania, 1965); The Space – time as a container where physics, computer science and contemporary art are related in a holistic sense in works by Luca Pozzi (Milan, 1983); the painted world without embellishment by Mike Silva (Stockholm, 1970); the suspended and mysterious world represented in the works by Thomas Zipp (Heppenheim, Germany, 1966); the intersections between nature and technology that push the viewer to adapt to new and unfamiliar visual sensations of the sculptural works by David Shaw (Rochester, NY , 1965).
